Abstract

AbstractIntroduction: This literary article carried out a bibliographical survey on the importance of the dental surgeon integrated in the public health sectors. Objective and methodology: Furthermore, our purpose is to expand the vision of dental surgeons on this dental specialty, offered for a long time in the job market, highlighting the quality and importance of the multidisciplinary team working in the face of demands in the Unified Health System (SUS), recognizing that for many the first gateway is through the basic units. Evidencing the extent to which a well-performed anamnesis and the work of available organs can reconcile the diagnosis of both oral and systemic illnesses. There are several ways in which pathogens enter our body, however, bacteremia can occur in the mouth, which can contribute to contamination of the entire organic system, so the practicing dentist must give special attention to the patient from the initial moment to the end of treatment, seeking a stability that completes its action in order to intervene in this bacterial control, seeking to reduce possible infectious foci. Results and Discussion: It is understood that the professional satisfaction and clinical evolution of patients are observed by the entire team working in public health networks. Therefore, information about oral pathologies and the importance of the dental surgeon integrated into public health networks will be presented in order to bring interest to the dental public regarding the health services offered progressively in primary health care.
