Abstract

Patient safety can be understood as the absence of unnecessary harm related to healthcare. Patient safety and well-being are essential in healthcare services. The objective is to address the incidence of adverse events related to nursing care in Brazil and evaluate the main events. A literature review was carried out on the Google Scholar, Pub Med and SciELO platforms, in the modalities articles, experience reports, theses, dissertations, case study, theoretical study, with publication dates between 2013 and 2023 in Brazil. Two articles were used from the Pub Med website, 4 were used from the SciELO platform and 8 were used from Google Scholar. The main adverse events that occurred in Brazilian territory were PPI, falls, infection and loss of probes and catheters. It is necessary to implement a patient safety culture in healthcare units.
